FED: Opposition stance on ETS irresponsible: Wong=2
Later, Senator Wong rejected comments from NSW Treasurer Eric Roozendaal that the ETS
would lead to "extreme losses" in the electricity generation and coal sectors.
"It is not unknown in this debate for electricity owners in this debate to seek additional
compensation from the government," she told reporters after his speech.
"Nearly $4 billion to the electricity sector - we think that is a reasonable amount
of assistance."
