NSW:Man assaulted with machete in bottle shop
SYDNEY, April 30 AAP - A man has been assaulted with a machete during an armed robbery
in a bottle shop in Sydney's west.
Two men, one armed with a machete and the other with a meat cleaver, entered the shop
on Reservoir Road, Blacktown, at about 8.40pm (AEST) on Friday.
The men approached a male customer, who was being served by a female employee.
The man carrying the machete then allegedly slapped the weapon against the customer's
right arm, while the other took some cash from the register and packets of cigarettes.
The men, who were both described as being 18 to 20 years old with a small build and
olive skin, also stole a bottle of spirits as they left the shop.
They were last seen running towards a vehicle on Burke Street, Blacktown.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage in a bid to identify the men.
