FED:Govt to investigate claims Aboriginal children used as guinea pigs

The federal government will search health department archives after it was claimed
members of the stolen generation were used as "guinea pigs" for leprosy treatments.

The allegations have been made to a Senate inquiry in Darwin.

KATHLEEN MILLS .. from the Stolen Generations Alliance .. says people don't know the
full extent of what happened to some children.

And she says efforts to obtain records that support the allegations have been hampered.

Health Minister NICOLA ROXON says she's ordered her department to investigate.
