NSW: Protesters warned not to hinder firefighters
SYDNEY, Jan 11 AAP - Anti-logging protesters were today warned not to obstruct firefightersin the Badja Forest in southern NSW.
The advice followed the arrest of two people in the area earlier this week.
They were charged after allegedly hindering the work of the NSW Rural Fire Service(RFS) in the Badja Forest and Wadbiliga National Park.
Monaro Local Area Acting Commander Wayne Benson said protesters had been active inthe forest since April last year.
He said it was essential that they adhere to police requests during the current hazardousfire conditions.
