QLD: Premier's wife wins court order against intruder
The wife of Queensland Premier PETER BEATTIE has won a court order to keep a woman
who illegally entered their home away from her family.
Dr HEATHER BEATTIE appeared in Brisbane's Magistrates Court today after an incident
at the family's Wilston home on February the 22nd.
Brisbane Magistrate BRIAN KUCKS has enforced a 12-month good behaviour bond against
KATHERINE MARY SHELLEY who confronted Dr BEATTIE while she was ironing in the rumpus room.
The order states that Ms SHELLEY must keep the peace and show good behaviour towards
the BEATTIE family, which includes the premier, his wife and their three children.
The 61-year-old was fined $200 in February and charged with unlawfully entering a dwelling.
During the incident, she yelled at Dr BEATTIE, demanding to get her daughter out of
foster care where she was the victim of alleged sexual abuse.
The premier today said he hopes the court order will be the end of the matter.
