Vic: Union given carte blanche to take strike action
Australian Services Union members have given their officials cart blanche to take strike
action -- increasing unrest in Victoria's power generating industry.
ASU members met at the Yallourn Energy generator in the La Trobe Valley this afternoon.
Union secretary MICHAEL RIZZO says the meeting gave officials the authority to call
members out at any time should the company seek to get around union bans which have stopped
the company generating.
